Adriana is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) through the Yoga Alliance. Adriana’s love of yoga and her background in the field of education inspired her to become a certified yoga teacher. She enrolled in the Foundations of Yoga Therapy 200-hour Teacher Training to deepen her knowledge of yoga as a practice as well as her understanding of human anatomy.
Adriana believes in the effectiveness of yoga as a mind-body intervention that promotes health and well-being. She has received training in trauma-sensitive yoga. Trauma-sensitive yoga is a choice centered practice that encourages curiosity and provides its practitioners with opportunities to build a more robust network of interoceptive pathways in order experience the body as a safe place grounded in the present moment.
Through the use of verbal assists and modifications, Adriana holds space for students to feel safe and supported in their yoga practice. Adriana brings compassion, understanding, and an appreciation for the present moment to all of her classes.
