Elizabeth has always sought out movement and spiritual connection, and spent decades as a professional equestrian, exploring her deep connection with animals and physical movement through her work of exercising racehorses. Seven years ago, when her professional equestrian ended, Elizabeth found yoga.
Initially, the physical practice was explored just to fill the void that her riding career had left. However, it soon became clear that she was connected to the practice in a much greater way than she had anticipated.
Following her intuition, Elizabeth pursued her yoga teacher training in the Vinyasa style through Yoga Yoga’s teacher training program. Naturally, she is drawn toward sensation and stronger flows but she also values slower, more intentional movement with an emphasis on breath.
Elizabeth believes in helping students to connect with their own bodies and minds, and to approach their practice from a place of self-compassion. In her classes you can expect an emphasis on the idea that yoga is a life-long practice, and that the connection with self doesn’t begin and end, but is one that happens every moment of our lives.
Elizabeth finds so much joy in sharing yoga with others, and she hopes to see you in class soon.
