In Laura’s classes you will find an invitation to slow down and connect with your ability to replenish yourself with vital energy.
Trained in traditional and modern yoga and meditation, Laura first discovered meditation as a way of finding peace of mind and controlling emotional turmoil.
When she found the practice of Hatha yoga, it was a great addition to her existing meditation practice. Feeling more connected, with a greater sense of serenity and inner peace, she decided to deepen her studies and took her first 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training course in Austin, TX. Shortly after, she completed Trauma-Sensitive Yoga training and began offering classes at various recovery centers.
After completing a 300-hour traditional and modern yoga course in Cali, Colombia, Laura received a 30-hour Children Yoga Teacher certification and started teaching yoga in after school programs.
With a desire to share the yoga teachings with all, regardless of background or physical ability, she also trained in Accessible Yoga, specializing in chair yoga, and enjoys teaching classes for seniors.
In her classes, you will find an invitation to connect with your subtler side, to slow down, and to allow the energy of your body to flow freely and release tension.
Laura is also a certified Reiki teacher and leads Reiki trainings in Austin, TX.
“Kind thoughts increase the flow of vital energy into your body and mind. Do kind acts now. Do not procrastinate. Kindness is like a healing balm. It soothes suffering… Little drops of water make the mighty ocean. Even so, little acts of kindness make an ocean of goodwill.” – Sivananda
